Impact Factor 2022

The Editor-in-Chief, Luis Martí-Bonmatí, is pleased to announce the recent release of the journal’s Impact Factor 2022 of 4.7. Despite a slight decrease in absolute numbers, which can be observed in most journals listed in the ‘Radiology, nuclear medicine & medical imaging’ category, Insights into Imaging improved its ranking (now ranking 29, formerly 35), showing the importance of the unique critical thinking approach promoted by the journal to improve daily radiology practice.

“I am pleased to see Insights into Imaging improving its position in quartile 1 of the Impact Factor ranking. But looking at more than solely this one parameter, our journal is extremely successful in usage, with more than 3 million downloads per year. This shows how relevant our articles and critical thinking are for our community, as they truly affect how we practice radiology in our daily lives. I am very grateful for the support of so many people involved, particularly my editorial board, the many reviewers and, of course our authors, who incorporate our approaches into their articles”, he says.
